All Govt Degree Colleges in Kashmir Shift to Online Classes

Srinagar, 30 Nov: In response to the early onset of winter, the Government of Jammu and Kashmir Higher Education Department acknowledges the challenges faced by students attending Government Degree Colleges in Kashmir Division.

Harsh weather conditions have impeded commuting and disrupted regular class activities, aggravating the situation for students who must travel long distances or find accommodation.

To address these issues and ensure uninterrupted academic progress during extreme cold conditions, all Principals of Government Degree Colleges in Kashmir Division are directed to conduct classes online from December 1, 2023, until December 31, 2023, or until winter vacations are announced, whichever comes earlier.

Furthermore, it is emphasized that faculty members are required to attend their respective colleges regularly and conduct online classes from the college premises to adhere to the academic calendar.

All internal and semester-end examinations will proceed as scheduled by universities and institutions.
