The Administration of Union Territory Of Ladakh has extended the winter vacation for all government and private institutions of the Education Department in District Kargil.

The extension of the winter vacation until March 12th, 2023, has been approved by the Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil, according to a notice issued by the Chief Education Officer, Kargil.

The notice further states that schools will reopen on March 13th, 2023, while staff members are required to report to schools on March 10th, 2023, to make necessary arrangements for the reopening of schools.

The extension of the winter vacation is aimed at providing relief to students and staff members in the wake of the harsh winter season.

The notice has been copied to the Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil, OSD to Worthy Secretary School Education UT Ladakh, OSD to Worthy Director School Education UT Ladakh HQ-Kargil, Station Director All India Radio Kargil, all head of offices/institutions (Government/Private) for information and necessary action, and the Private Secretary to Hon’ble Chief Executive Councilor, LAHDC, Kargil, for information of the Hon’ble CEC.

The Station Director of All India Radio Kargil has been requested to air the notice for two to three consecutive days for wide publicity, while the Notice Board Bazaar/Baroo has been informed of the decision.
