As the Central University Entrance Test (CUET) 2023 is just around the corner, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the syllabus for the candidates appearing for the entrance test. Earlier known as Central University Common Entrance Test (CUCET), CUET UG 2023 is expected to be held from 21st to 31st May 2023, while the dates for CUET PG exams will be announced shortly.
The CUET syllabus 2023 is expected to give the students a clear vision of the subjects and units to be prepared for the entrance exam. A proper understanding and familiarity with the syllabus would be of great help to plan a preparation strategy. Moreover, the NTA has decided to conduct the Central Universities Entrance Test (CUET) in an online mode (Computer Based Test) this year, as compared to the previous years when the exam was conducted in an offline mode.
The CUET Exam will be conducted in 13 languages, including English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, and Punjabi. This decision by the NTA will certainly benefit students who are more comfortable taking exams in their native language.
The marking scheme for the CUET Exam has been discussed in the table below:

The CUET Exam pattern for UG and PG courses is expected to be similar, with a duration of 2 hours and a total of 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) with 4 options. Each correct answer will carry 1 mark, while there will be no negative marking for wrong answers.

CUET PG Exam Pattern 2023
- The question paper of CUET PG 2023 consists of 100 Multiple Choice Questions.
- Candidates will get 2 hours (120 minutes) to solve the CUET 2023 question paper.
- The candidates will be awarded 4 marks for each right answer and 1 will be deducted for the wrong answer.
- No marks will be awarded or deducted for unanswered/blank questions.
