Gold and silver prices started the second week of April with a decline in the Indian market. On April 10, 2023, gold prices fell by Rs 555 per 10 grams, trading at Rs 60,068 per 10 grams, while silver prices dropped by Rs 308 per kg, trading at Rs 74,164 per kg. This decrease in prices was also reflected on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), where gold traded at Rs 60,170 with a decline of Rs 341, and silver traded at Rs 74,252 with a softening of Rs 318.

This drop in gold and silver prices comes after gold reached its all-time high on April 5, 2023, when it reached Rs 60,781 per 10 grams, making the current prices about Rs 713 cheaper than the peak. Similarly, silver is also trading lower than its highest level by Rs 6,124 per kg, as its all-time high was Rs 79,980 per kg.
