The body of a girl who jumped into the river Jhelum in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district last month was recovered today.
An official told ProKashmiri that on December 31st, a girl jumped into the river Jehlum from Khanbagh bridge in Baramulla and a rescue team including police rushed to the spot and launched searches.
The search operation to trace the girl has been ongoing for the last 26 days, and her body was recovered at Veerean Baramulla today.
The official stated that after legal-medico formalities, the body will be handed over to the family.
