Jammu and Kashmir may issue fresh guidelines if Covid cases continue to rise, says DIV COM
The Divisional Commissioner of Kashmir, V K Bidhuri, has assured the public that there is no need to panic over the recent surge in Covid cases in the region, stating that the situation is currently under control.
However, he did mention that if the number of cases continues to rise, the government will issue fresh guidelines related to the pandemic.
Speaking to reporters, Bidhuri explained that although there has been an increase in cases, the situation is being closely monitored and attributed it to seasonal fluctuations. He urged anyone experiencing symptoms to get tested.
Regarding the Smart City project, Bidhuri stated that the work will be completed on time, but the ongoing weather conditions are not suitable for blacktopping. He assured that the process would commence as soon as the weather improves.
The government has been taking measures to combat the spread of Covid-19 in Jammu and Kashmir, including vaccine drives and enforcing Covid-appropriate behavior. As the situation evolves, officials like Bidhuri continue to closely monitor the situation and take necessary action to ensure public safety.
