Good News for J&K Government Employees: Dearness Allowance Increased, Check Revised Scale

The government has issued an order regarding the payment of dearness allowance (DA) to its employees who are still receiving their pay in the pre-revised pay scale/grade pay as per the 5th CPC. The order has outlined the revised rate of DA and the payment of arrears.

As per the order, the existing rate of DA, which was 381% of basic pay, has been revised to 396% of basic pay, effective July 1, 2022. Any fraction of DA equal to or above 50 paisa will be rounded up to the next highest rupee, and any fraction less than 50 paisa will be disregarded.

Additionally, the arrears for the additional DA installment from July 2022 to January 2023 will be paid in two equal installments, one in February 2023 and the other in March 2023. These arrears will be considered part of the monthly salary starting February 2023.

This order will benefit government employees who are still drawing their pay in the pre-revised pay scale/grade pay as per the 5th CPC.

The revised rate of DA and the payment of arrears will provide some financial relief to these employees.
