Government Appoints Sh. Atal Dulloo as Chief Secretary of Jammu & Kashmir
In a recent development, the Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs, has announced the appointment of Sh. Atal Dulloo, IAS (AGMUT:1988), as the new Chief Secretary of Jammu & Kashmir.
This decision follows the superannuation of Sh. Arun Kumar Mehta, IAS (AGMUT:1988), on November 30, 2023.
Sh. Atal Dulloo, with a wealth of experience and having served on Central Deputation, is set to assume office from December 1, 2023, or from the date of taking charge, whichever is later.
The appointment is effective until further orders, as stated in the official order bearing No. 15041/07/2023-UTS-I, issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs.
This significant administrative change underscores the government’s commitment to ensuring effective governance in the region.
Sh. Atal Dulloo’s tenure as Chief Secretary will be closely watched as Jammu & Kashmir continues to navigate various developmental challenges.
