Shopkeeper Arrested for Secretly Filming Female Customers in Changing Room in Kashmir

A readymade garments shopkeeper in Baramulla district of Kashmir has been arrested for allegedly secretly filming female customers in the changing room of his shop. The incident came to light on April 26 when a minor girl, accompanied by her sister, filed a written complaint with the police.

According to the complaint, the girl had gone to the shop located in the Bandi Payeen area of Chandoosa to try on some clothes.

Upon entering the changing room, she discovered a hidden mobile phone that was being used to record customers while they were changing clothes.

Taking the complaint seriously, the police immediately launched an investigation and arrested the shopkeeper, identified as Aijaz Nabi Sofi, a resident of Bandi Payeen Chandoosa who is also the owner of the shop. The mobile devices of the accused have been seized, and further investigation is ongoing.
