The Jammu and Kashmir administration has announced the imposition of property taxes in the municipal areas of the region.
The tax rates for the areas under the Srinagar municipal corporation have also been released, with residential houses under 100 square feet being exempt from taxes.
The new policy is expected to bring in more revenue for the region’s development and infrastructure.
