The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (BOSE) will release the date sheet for Class X, XI, and XII exams within the next two to three days.

The exams will start on March 4th and run through March 6th. The changes in the schedule were made to accommodate entrance exams and job interviews. Proper heating arrangements have been made for the exams.

“Date sheets have been finalized. We had to make some changes because there were some entrance exams for different departments. Exams will tentatively start on March 4, 5, and 6 for all the three classes,” Manisha Sarin, Secretary, BOSE, told The Kashmir Monitor.

This is the first time that board exams will be held in Kashmir in March. The academic session was shifted in sync with the National Education Policy (NEP) last year.

The theory exams will take place during the first week of March in most areas, except for some difficult areas of Jammu and Kashmir which will have exams delayed until the second week of April. Results for all exams can still be declared simultaneously.

According to the Uniform Academic calendar, students appearing in Class 10 and 11 exams will be provisionally admitted in Class 11 and 12 respectively, pending their exam results. If students are unsuccessful, they will still be permitted to continue their studies until the results of the biennial/annual private exams are declared. If they fail to pass the biennial exams, their provisional admission will be cancelled.
