JKBOSE Announces Migration Schedule for Academic Session 2023-24

Jammu & Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has released a notification regarding the migration process for students enrolled in affiliated academic institutions/schools of Kashmir Division and district Kargil. Additionally, students from other recognized educational boards can also migrate to JKBOSE for the Academic Session 2023-24. The migration process allows students to transfer within the same district, from district to district, or from division to division.

To apply for migration, candidates must visit the official JKBOSE website at www.jkbose.nic.in. The migration process is divided into two categories: School to School Migration within the same district, district to district, and division to division for secondary school (Class 10), and candidates migrating from other recognized boards to JKBOSE for secondary school (Class 10) and higher secondary Part-II (Class 12).

For the first category, candidates can submit their migration forms within three different timeframes:

First Count of Ten Days after Normal Fee: May 10th to June 10th, 2023.
Second Count of Ten Days after Normal Fee: June 11th to June 20th, 2023.
Third Count of Ten Days after Normal Fee: June 21st to July 10th, 2023.

The normal fee for migration is Rs. 390/-. However, candidates who apply during the second and third counts are subject to a late fee of Rs. 70/- and Rs. 80/-, respectively.

For the second category, candidates migrating from other recognized boards to JKBOSE, the submission process for eligibility cum registration takes place within the following timeframes:

First Count of Ten Days after Normal Fee: May 10th to June 10th, 2023.
Second Count of Ten Days after Normal Fee: June 11th to June 20th, 2023.
Third Count of Ten Days after Normal Fee: June 21st to July 10th, 2023.

The normal fee for eligibility cum registration is Rs. 1,220/-. A late fee of Rs. 70/- and Rs. 80/- is applicable for candidates applying during the second and third counts, respectively.

It is important to note that candidates migrating to JKBOSE for class 11th, who have previously passed class 10, are also required to submit their application for eligibility cum registration. Important Update: JKBOSE has withdrawn this notification regarding migration and eligibility for the Kashmir Division. The decision to withdraw the notification, referenced as F (Mig/Elig-Online/B) 23/KD and dated May 9, 2023, was made in compliance with instructions. JKBOSE assures stakeholders that a new notification will be issued in the future, providing updated guidelines and instructions on the matter.
