Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has released a notification regarding the use of unfair means and misconduct by some candidates during the Higher Secondary Part (12th Class) Session Annual/Regular, 2023 examinations in the Soft Zone areas of the Union Territory.
According to the notification, the candidates who are alleged to have resorted to the use of unfair means and misconduct in the examination centres are directed to present themselves before the Committee for scrutiny and disposal of unfair means/misconduct cases. The candidates must present themselves strictly as per the following schedule in the Office Chambers of the Joint Secretary, Secrecy, JD at their own expenses to defend themselves against the charges leveled against them.
The notification further stated that if the candidates fail to present themselves before the committee as per the schedule, it shall be presumed that they have nothing to say in their defence and the decision taken by the sub-committee on the basis of available record/reports shall be final and binding upon them.
The venue for the scrutiny and disposal of unfair means/misconduct cases is at the JKBOSE office in Rehari Colony, Jammu. The concerned candidates are advised to take note of the schedule and present themselves accordingly.
The JKBOSE has urged all the candidates to maintain the sanctity and integrity of the examination process and refrain from indulging in any kind of malpractice or misconduct. The board has also warned the candidates of strict action in case of any deviation from the rules and regulations.
