Border Security Force (BSF) Job Notification
The Border Security Force has released an advertisement for the recruitment of Male and Female Indian citizens for Group-C combatized (non-gazetted) posts in the Veterinary Staff. The vacancies are to be filled in the year 2023 through Online Mode only.
Vacancies and Pay Band
There are a total of 18 vacancies for the post of HC (Veterinary) with a pay band of Level-4 (25,500-81,100/-) and 8 vacancies for the post of Constable (Kennelman) with a pay band of Level-3 (21,700-69,100/-).
Application Mode and Deadline
The applications will be accepted through Online Mode only and the last date for the acceptance of applications will be 30 days from the date of publication of the advertisement in the Status Newspaper.
Reservation for Ex-Servicemen
10% of the vacancies for the post of HC (Veterinary) are reserved for Ex-Servicemen.
Nationality/Citizenship
To be eligible for the recruitment, the candidate must be a citizen of India.

Education and Qualification Requirements
To be eligible for the post of HC (Veterinary), candidates must have completed 12th Class from a recognized Board and possess a minimum of one-year course in Veterinary Stock Assistant from any recognized Institution, with at least one year of post-qualification experience. For the post of Constable (Kennelman), candidates must have completed 10th Class from a recognized Board and have two years of experience in handling animals from a government veterinary hospital, dispensary, veterinary college or government farm. Note that candidates who do not possess the required educational qualification or experience certificate, or who are appearing in an examination or awaiting the result, need not apply.
Age Limit and Relaxations
The age limit for direct recruitment for both the posts of HC (Veterinary) and Constable (Kennelman) is 18-25 years. The crucial date for determining the age limit will be the closing date for receipt of online applications. The upper age limit is relaxed for different categories of eligible candidates as follows: Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe candidates are eligible for a relaxation of 5 years, and Other Backward Classes candidates are eligible for a relaxation of 3 years.
