Minimum Age: 18 years old

Maximum Age: 28 years old (on January 1st of the year in which the notification inviting applications is issued)

Upper Age Limit for In-Service Police Personnel: 30 years old

Ex-Servicemen Age Limit: Ex-servicemen who have served in the Armed Forces of the Union are allowed to deduct the period of their service from their actual age. If the resulting age does not exceed the maximum age limit by more than three years, they will be deemed to satisfy the age limit requirement.
