The Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) has opened applications for the position of Medical Officer in the Health & Medical Education Department, J&K.

Post Details: The position is for Medical Officer in the Health & Medical Education Department, J&K, with a total of 378 posts available, including 180 backlog vacancies in the first special drive and 198 in the second special drive. The salary for this position is Rs. 52,700 – 1,66,700.

Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible, candidates must possess a MBBS degree or a recognized Graduate Medical qualification included in the first or second schedule or part ll of the 3rd scheduled (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956. The age limit for the position is 40 years for the OM category, 42 years for the SC/ST/ALC-IB/SLC/EWS/PSP category, and 40 years for in-service candidates.

Application Fee: The application fee is Rs. 1,000 for General candidates, Rs. 500 for Reserved candidates, and nil for PHC candidates.
