Pakistan’s vice-captain in ODI cricket, Mohammad Rizwan, has reportedly been removed from the position and replaced by Shan Masood.

According to Samaa TV, Pakistan’s captain, Babar Azam, was not aware of the change and inquired about it with one of the selectors, who said the interim selection committee, led by Shahid Afridi, had no information about the change.

Recently, Rizwan was dropped from the Test cricket team and Sarfraz Ahmed, who replaced him, performed well and was named Man of the Series after scoring three fifties and a hundred against New Zealand.

Afridi had previously supported Rizwan, stating that he is the top wicketkeeper for Pakistan and there were no plans to replace him in white-ball cricket.
