WhatsApp is Working on Improving Image Quality for Desktop App Users

Facebook-owned instant messaging app, WhatsApp, is making efforts to enhance the image-sending experience for its desktop app users. The company is working on introducing a new feature that will allow users to send images in their original quality, preserving the resolution and clarity of the photos.

Currently, when images are sent through the WhatsApp desktop app, they undergo compression, resulting in a loss of quality and resolution. However, with the introduction of this new feature, users will no longer have to worry about the quality of their images being compromised during the transmission process.

Although the feature is still under development, it is expected to be released in a future update of the app. Once available, beta testers will have the option to continue sending photos using the standard compression method, which is the default option and can be useful for those who wish to conserve storage space.

Users will still be in control of sending images, even with the introduction of this new feature. The option to send photos in their original quality will be made available alongside the standard compression method, giving users the choice to send images in the way that suits their needs best.

The upcoming update to WhatsApp’s desktop app promises to bring a significant improvement to the image-sending experience for users. With the ability to send images in their original quality, users can now share photos with their friends and family with confidence, knowing that the quality of their images will remain intact.
