New Delhi – The Indian government has taken steps to curb illegal activities by blocking access to 232 foreign-operated apps. The blocked apps, including several from China, are said to be involved in illegal activities such as betting, gambling, and unauthorized loan services.

According to an anonymous official source, the apps were being operated from offshore entities and posed a threat to the country’s economic stability. “The order to block 138 apps that were involved in betting, gambling, and money laundering was issued last evening. Separately, an order to block 94 apps engaged in unauthorized loan services has also been issued,” the official stated.

The names of the blocked apps have not been disclosed, and there has been no official response from MeitY to an inquiry.

In conclusion, the Indian government’s decision to block access to foreign-operated apps over illegal activities is aimed at safeguarding the country’s economic stability and protecting its citizens. The move has been met with support from various quarters, and the government is expected to take further measures to curb illegal activities.
