Widespread Rain Expected in Kashmir and Jammu Region, Farmers Advised to Postpone Spraying
Meteorological Department Srinagar has forecasted widespread rain in Kashmir and isolated places of Jammu region. The current weather condition is expected to improve from this afternoon onwards.
According to the MeT, the possibility of intermittent rain or thunderstorms is likely to occur at scattered places towards late afternoon and evening on April 29, with a 50% chance of occurrence.
On May 3-4, there is a possibility of widespread light to moderate rain or thunderstorms, and some places may receive heavy rainfall. As a precautionary measure, farmers are advised to postpone the spraying of orchards until May 4.
Meanwhile, the authorities have urged people to remain cautious and stay indoors during heavy rainfall to avoid any mishaps.
