The Meteorological Department has announced that a fresh Western Disturbance is expected to hit Jammu and Kashmir from January 22 to 24.
From January 18, there will be back-to-back feeble Western Disturbances until January 22, leading up to the arrival of the moderate to strong disturbance.
During this period, there is a likelihood of light to moderate snowfall in the plains and moderate to heavy snowfall in the upper reaches of the Kashmir Valley.
The Meteorological Department predicts that this disturbance will bring significant weather changes.
The department advises people to avoid venturing out in slopes and avalanche-prone areas during this period for safety reasons.
